Professional Development Day 2018 - 'Lean Into Agile'
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
PDD 2018 was
held on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 in The Hemingway room at
The Commons Calgary. It was a great opportunity for learning
and networking in a relaxed atmosphere. Our theme this year
was 'Lean Into Agile" which allowed us to explore Lean
practices and the Agile Methodology. We had 6 great speakers
and 50 participants. A special thanks to all of the
volunteers who helped to make this a great event.
For those who
were unable to join us, please consider attending PDD 2019
next fall. Watch for information posted on our Chapter
website and in the newsletter later in the new year.

Just a quick update on the Call for Candidates
from October 10, 2018.
As there were no opposing candidates we have new Board Members by
acclamation as follows:
- Director of Education - Mike Jones
(continues in position he assumed in January 2018)
- Director of Events - Suzan Darwish (new
member)
- Director of Member Services - Deepika
Dalal (formerly our volunteer 'Membership Coordinator')
- Treasuer - Lola Akande (returning for
another term)
Note: Deepika Dalal was formerly our
'Memberhsip Coordinator' and we thank her for her ongoing support
of our Calgary Chapter!
Also, a big thank you to Maggie Xu who was our
former 'Director of Member Services' and has chosen to continue
her volunteer service with us in the role of "Membership
Coordinator!
